  • Depart the coast. The road winds up from sea level to ~1000m.
  • Standard Stop: Ravana Falls. A massive waterfall right next to the main road. Easy and convenient.

Instead of the direct route, drive via Wellawaya to see Diyaluma Falls (2nd highest in Sri Lanka). Hike ~45 mins to the top to swim in natural "infinity pools" at the edge of the cliff.
Note: Takes significantly longer than Ravana Falls. Choose this only if you want a big adventure.

  • Arrive in Ella (Cooler climate! ~20ยฐC).
  • Visit the Nine Arch Bridge in Demodara.
